Star Wars has a problem. See, when one makes a movie, it’s relatively easy to make the lore of the film self-contained. Sure, some things won’t make sense, but it’s all explainable by saying, “Oh, that must have been resolved off-screen,” or “I’m sure they’ll offer more details in the sequel.”

However, Star Wars isn’t just a film series. Ever since the early days, there have been novelizations, spin-offs, comic books and more — each one adding an increasingly complicated layer to an already complex ecosystem of canon.

Given this, Star Wars as it presently exists is a web of stupid explanations for ridiculous problems. Recently, a user on X/Twitter called upon people to share their favorite (and most absurd) parts of Star Wars canon — and let me tell you, it gets out of hand pretty fast.
